Dear Friends
The weather continues to be gloomy and as I look out of my window it is pouring down. The forecast for this week is much the same and it must be difficult for parents whose children are having the summer break.
On a more positive note, our summer exhibition went really well as you will see in the bulletin. Thanks to all our friends who exhibited, we had a wonderful range of subjects and genre. A number of paintings were sold this year which was very good. Being married to an artist I know that exhibiting your work gives great satisfaction knowing lots of people have viewed it.
A big thankyou to those who helped hang the paintings and take them down. Also, a thank you to the invigilators who gave up their time to ‘man’ the exhibition during the time it was on.
