Saturday, 20 July – 11.30 till 3.30pm – Learning Room at the gallery
In this Summer-inspired workshop, Jo Duncan will demonstrate how to make appealing wool hedgehogs, using a simple pompom method which guarantees perfect results. In the second part of the workshop, we’ll create some little yarn birds which can be customised as standing, hanging or clip-on decorations. To finish off, we’ll make cardboard birdhouses and hedgehog huts to take your woolly makes home.
All materials will be provided, although you are welcome to bring along any oddments of double knitting yarn you have. There’ll be some ‘take-home’ ideas as well, in case you want to enlarge your woolly menagerie even further!
