Lindsey McLaren is a contemporary impressionist painter from Northeast England. She studied illustration and worked as a graphic designer before discovering her passion for oil painting during the pandemic. Her works showcase the natural beauty of the countryside and coast, from Northeast England to Scotland, Devon, and the Cotswolds, capturing the impact of human activity on the land. Each piece is thoughtfully composed to capture the essence of the moment.
Lindsey has recently exhibited at the Wild and Free Gallery in Whitley Bay, showcasing her plein air works. She has also exhibited at The Customs House in South Shields, Washington Arts Centre and the Alnmouth Arts Festival. Last year, Lindsey was highly commended in The Artist and Leisure Painter Open Competition (TALP) for a portrait submission.
Looking to the future, she is planning to continue her journey exploring art to depict life on our planet in the current climate and will look to explore more urban scenes, considering how we live.
