(Wine and nibbles at 18.30, talk begins at 19.00)Laura Edger, artist based in Whitley Bay talks about her work.

LTextile art by Laura Edgar - Tynemouth magenta duskaura Edgar studied Foundation Studies in Art and Design at Newcastle College then completed an Textile Degree at Nottingham Trent University from 1993-1996. She lives in the coastal town of Whitley Bay.

In the past Laura has been involved with freelance textile designing and also textile art projects with the Embroider’s Guild as well as exhibitions in galleries locally such as the Biscuit Factory. Laura also tutors nationally and internationally.

LTextile art by Laura Edgar - heather moorlandaura finds inspiration in all things vintage and is an avid collector of beachcombing and flea market finds. Art and Textiles have always been a therapeutic outlet for Laura, a way of relaxing, mindfullness and self-expression. She is currently working on work for her solo exhibition For the Love of the North shop at Whitley Bay.

The talks will include a Powerpoint presentation and questions and answers. Laura will be bringing examples of her work, some available to purchase along with some hand-made cards.
