Over the past months, I have had the privilege of being involved in a variety of workshops and activities, including collaborations with DSFC, into university, through life work art. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding, not only for the knowledge I have gained but also for the personal growth they have offered me.
One of the most memorable experiences has been working with the children at Into University. I absolutely cherish the time I spent with them it, was heartwarming to hear someone call me “Miss” and know that I was teaching them something new and exciting. I have always loved being around kids, and sharing creative activities with them was an invaluable experience. Seeing their enthusiasm and curiosity as they learned new skills was incredibly fulfilling, and it is something I will always treasure.
At the Hatton Gallery, my role has allowed me to connect with visitors of all ages, further deepening my appreciation for galleries and museums as spaces of creativity and community. I have always been fascinated by these cultural spaces, but this experience has given me a stronger sense of their role in education and engagement.
Looking ahead, I am excited to continue working on upcoming workshops with the University. Whether I am volunteering or being paid, what truly matters to me is the experience of working with new people through art and life. Each interaction brings unique lessons and inspiration, making this journey all the more rewarding.
The memories and personal growth they have provided are invaluable. I am grateful to be part of such meaningful projects and look forward to what is to come.
