Scott Gallery, Hawick Museum & Gallery: until 5 October
A major exhibition celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) is on show at Hawick Museum & Gallery, where visitors can explore two centuries of Scottish artistic achievement.
Presented in partnership with Live Borders, Past, Present, Future: The Royal Scottish Academy in the Borders is part of RSA200: Celebrating Together, a nationwide programme marking the Academy’s bicentenary. The RSA has spent 200 years championing Scottish art and architecture.
The exhibition explores the relationship between the RSA and the Scottish Borders. Bringing together works by distinguished RSA Academicians alongside contemporary and emerging artists; it celebrates the region’s rich artistic heritage and looks towards its creative future.
Visitors can enjoy works by renowned artists including Anne Redpath, David Michie and Tom Scott, alongside contemporary voices such as Victoria Crowe, George Donald, Jake Harvey and Andrew Cranston. The exhibition also highlights emerging Borders artists, including David Cass and Richard Goldsworthy, showcasing the next generation of creative talent.

The exhibition is open Wed to Mon, 11.00am–4.00pm (closed Tues). Admission is free.
